If the Irish (and those with Irish roots, however distant!) ever needed an excuse to party, look no further than McGettigan’s annual Paddy’s Day antics. There is no better place to enjoy the best, most authentic Irish ‘craic’ and hospitality in Dubai and Abu Dhabi than at McGettigan’s. There is a whole weekend of celebrations and free concerts planned across McGettigan’s JLT, DWTC and AUH.
McGettigan’s will fly over a host of Irish music acts to perform free gigs throughout the weekend in celebration of the biggest day of the year for the Irish. McGettigan’s JLT has a huge line up on the day itself (Thursday 17th March) which kicks off with the mega talented Mike Ross followed by Schizophonik who’re bound to get guests in the party mood. Visitors to McGettigan’s JLT can also watch traditional Irish dancers perform whilst enjoying some of McGettigan’s award winning food, drinks, fun give-aways and an electric party atmosphere.
No Paddy’s Day party is complete without headline acts and McGettigan’s JLT have some whoppers. Louis Walsh’s newest Irish boy band Hometown have taken time out of their UK & Ireland tour supporting UK band The Vamps to perform a one-off, exclusive gig in Dubai. The lads precede one of Ireland’s top bands, Hermitage Green who’ll headline the St Patrick’s antics. The band, from Limerick in Ireland, is renowned for their unique style of indie rock which is easily identified by their incredible four-part harmonies.
McGettigan’s DWTC has a host of musical talent in store from the uber talented Irishman Scott Maher to the fantastic trad-fusion band, The Gentlemen Barstewards who’re guaranteed to entertain followed by a live DJ to keep the party popping until late.
McGettigan’s AUH are delighted to have Irish band, Gate Crashers headlining on Paddy’s Day. There will also be performances from McGettigan’s resident band The Distillers and a live DJ to keep the party going until late. Guests can enjoy traditional Irish dancers perform as well as McGettigan’s award winning food, drinks and fun giveaways!
The festivities continue on 18th March at as all three pubs host their fantastic Friday brunches. Don’t miss the brilliant Irish Trad trio who’ll be putting their traditional Irish spin on chart hits and are guaranteed to get guests in the party mood at JLT. Followed by Crowd pleasers The Maplejacks and Irish band, Gate Crashers who will be performing live to the post brunch crowd on Friday evening. McGettigan’s AUH are delighted to have Hermitage Green perform live on stage, the lads will be rocking out for the post-brunch crowd from 6.30pm.

Saturday 19th March will see an evening of rugby play out as show the final round of the RBS 6 Nations on our HD and Giant screens in all 3 venues.
